Video Info: Directed by Wiz. The concept is that of the band as chess pieces. More of a silent movie look to it, shot in black and white with a unique look to it. The story goes basically, girl is slave of horrible blob (a fat guy who reminds me of Jabba-The Hut), girl dances for blob. Billy releases girl, they fly off together. Includes an appearance by Yelena Yemchuk-Billy's girlfriend. The makeup resembles the Adore girl's makeup. A quote appears at the start of the video, "The mystery of love is greater than the mystery of death"- Oscar Wilde. According to Sarah, who was researching about the video, this quote "comes from the play Salome, about the biblical story of the stepdaughter of Herod, who danced the dance of the 7 veils in order to kill Jean the Baptist so her mother could wed herod, or something like that. Anyway, after reading the play, I'm fairly sure that the video is somewhat based both on it as well as the pictures that originally went with the play in the 1900s, by Aubrey Beardsley." "It probably only took me about 20 minutes to write the song, but those songs always seem to be the ones that capture something that if I work on it for too long, it sort of messes itself up."

"So, 'Disarm,' 'Today,' 'Drown,' 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings,' '1979,' 'Ava Adore,' those are all the songs that came to me the quickest. As far as the song goes, it's sort of a love song that rocks, which is pretty rare, even for me. And I even got my girlfriend dancing in the video, so it's all a tribute to my girlfriend, I guess."
